Jewellery as a Segment for BP GOLD 2.0

India is a vast country with lots of ancient history spanning since 40,000 BC. We, the people of India started as hunters/ food gatherers and have arrived at modern lifestyle of 2020. With the propagation of life we found ourselves with many obsessions from trade to philosophy to many other things.

Clothing and jewellery has been a great obsession with us since old ages. During our tribal days, we were using skins and pelts for clothings and also wears necklace and garlands made from various flowers and bones. In ancient times, these were our options for feeling beautiful. In the past we have seen a huge obsession with artifacts made from elephant tusks and lion nail jewellery which in ancient times symbolized for the bravery but later with improvement in commerce and economy, became common for everyone.
With time and new discoveries, humans realized jewellery and metals can also be made from metals. What metal would suit for the same the best way, which can remain the same over a long period of time. For example, metals like iron, aluminium and copper are very reactive and they do corrode away. So human chose the metals, which were rare to find and barely reactive. Gold and silver are best examples along with platinum, rhodium and other metals.

Indian tradition involves a lot of Gold and Silver jewellery. The number of items adorned covers almost every part of body, from hair to toe. The art of jewellery has been patronised by Kings and queens in the ancient times to rich and common people in modern days. The crafts man associated with jewellery and their craft and technology also grew up with time.

Nowadays we are living in one growing India. India is now modernizing at a faster pace. This has all happened due to the aid of technology. Technology is one thing, which has made a lot of things, once seemed impossible, possible and accessible. One of the most recent revolution that India has seen is revolution in communication segment. It brought the world closer. Currently in its latest form we are looking this revolution in digital form. All manual things are now moving to digital form.

Digital India is a Govt. of India initiative to provide various services to its citizens electronically. To make it successful, govt. of India has improved its online infrastructure and providing internet connectivity to make the country digitally empowered. Here Govt. of India has three core initiatives, to develop the secure and stable digital infrastructure, providing various govt. services digitally and a nationwide digital literacy. For this Govt. is coming up with various schemes in collaboration with private sector companies.

WeP Solutions Ltd. Is India’s one of the most trusted brand when it comes to printing technology. WeP is in retail billing segment since last 13 years and is known for its customer relationship and trust. We at WeP Solutions Ltd. think that the transition from manual to machine is first step towards the digitization. WeP has a proud customer base of more than 100 thousand customers which is growing day by day.

Jewellery segment in India has been far away from this transition from manual billing to machine based billing. In the recent times many of their process, i.e. jewellery making through automated machines, and usage of digital weighing scale shows their tendency to going digital. But market is not able to provide better solution to them. Most of the billing software’s available in the market are capable but their basic cost and renewal cost makes it difficult for the users. Apart from this, most of small jewellery shops do not go towards software as they need computers and Printers installed before owners can start using software, which consumes a lot of space which most jewellery store owners can use for other purposes.
BP GOLD 2.0

After understanding all such requirements, and billing mechanism from various jewellers, WeP has come up with its own solution for jewellers, BP GOLD 2.0. This is a product which fulfills various requirements of jewellery billing, from estimation bills to final bills. BP GOLD 2.0 product provides separate reports for both estimation and final bills. Machine supports various features like wastage calculations, labour charge calculations, stone charge calculations or if user need they can manually add stone in their bill. Not only that, machine support storage of 21000 jewellery article storage which are directly linked with 99 Metals database where daily rates changes with rate changes in international market can be updated and same will reflect for the linked items. Here users also have option to store 1000 customers in machine which can be stored in the beginning itself or user can add new customer in database at the time of bill itself.

Machine is capable of printing bills on thermal paper itself but when connected over wifi to a router, it can send data to laser printer connected on the same router to get A4 size bill printed.

Over all it can be said that BP GOLD 2.0 is a compact machine, which is able to fulfil multiple requirements of jewellery billing.
