Growth of Textile Industry in India

India’s textiles sector is one of the oldest industries in Indian economy back from several centuries. The textile industry has two segments. First one consists of handloom, handicrafts and sericulture, which are operated on a small scale and through traditional tools and methods. The second is the organized sector consisting of spinning, apparel and garments segment which apply modern machinery and techniques.   Gandhi Jayanti is indeed an occasion to celebrate. Every year in India as well as several parts of the world, it is celebrated in a grand. On Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti: The President and Prime Minister of India pay homage in front of the Mahatma’s statue at the Raj Ghat in New Delhi.
